Betty and Tony are announcing that they have decided to close their B&B after twenty-one years in business. They
are still honouring all advanced bookings and gift certificates. Make sure to phone us if you have a gift certificate and
tell us who you are and when you would like to redeem it. If you dream of running a B&B, come and stay and we will
advise you about a wonderful and enriching occupation.
To our past
guests and friends, please contact us if you are coming to Orillia and would like to stay. We know we will miss having guests
around so give us a try! Please remind us if you were here before.
Betty and Tony
are both well and will be still be living in their home - which they designed to retire into twenty-nine years ago. Pop
in and see them if you are in Orillia.
Thank you to the thousands who have enriched our lives over the last twenty-one years. We have had some great conversations
around the breakfast table, shared many a bottle of wine with guests on our back deck and enjoyed dinner delivered from a
local restaurant. For this we would like to thank all our past guests who have given us so many wonderful memories.
In twenty-one years we never had a thing stolen or broken. Bed and Breakfast
guests are wonderful people!
We came to Canada fifty years ago in June - a young couple with a 5 month old daughter, Nicola. We spent three years
in Arvida (now part of Jonquiere) in Quebec. In 1967 we moved to Orillia where we have been ever since. We built our current
home in 1985 and it was planned as a retirement home where we could live on one floor. In 1993 we started running Betty and
Tony's Waterfront Bed and Breakfast in it. What fun we have had and what great people we have met. So many of whom are now
classed as good friends. In our mid seventies we have finally decided to stop advertising, and start a life as retired people
while we still have good health and a reasonably high level of activity!
